    Do it pretty soon here, buy it and pack it in the same day or close to that if you can. Folks that live up north won’t understand this comment so to avoid a foolish reply from someone- we have MAJOR bug problems in the south with the heat. As it gets later into the spring bugs become worse. This gentleman lives in the south so he understands the problem :) Good luck! “Dave in Idaho”

    how about Vacuum sealing rice in the plastic bag rolls? will you run into problems with bugs and air getting to it? I was going to store it in the buckets after I vacuum pack it. I can’t afford the mylar bags and absorber’s right now. Thanks

    You could but the mylar and o2 absorbers will do it just the same. Same you some cost of vac seal bags and electric. What your asking to do is double packing more or less. If your willing to do that and feel safer that way by all means do so.

    No. If you feel the need to use dessicants they need to be FOOD GRADE dessicants. The stuff you get in shoes, furniture, etc. is not food grade.

    A local feed store has seed wheat that I bought to put up. I made sure that it was not treated before packaging, even though they say that they treat the plants for bugs in the field. Do you have any suggestions for wheat information resources? Thanks.
