Total myth beans and rice do combine to give an ok protein profile but ONLY if you use brown rice and it still is way short of even a few ounces of chicken or fish.
Lots of people make this claim but go look at the grams of protein and the profile of the proteins in rice and beans and compare it to meat. The claim doesn’t stand up to the nutritional facts.
Oh and I use whole wheat in my diet all the time. So does much of the world. That said I prep for real live not “end times”

the combination of beans and rice, closely mimics the protein found in meat.. forget wheat, leave it for the amateurs who don’t know any better… store beans and rice, you can live a life time on beans and rice, you can only live a short while on just wheat.
