Even though it’s … Even though it’s yellow I’m sure the rice is more than good. 17 years of food storage is mighty impressive. Do you know of any method to seal the buckets themselves airtight?
delta69alpha Said,

its not the fact … its not the fact that mre’s grow mold or what not they lose there nutritional value if you ate nothing but old mre’s for a year you would have malunutrtion
lanesteele240 Said,
another question, … another question, can i do this type of food storage to seeds so i can grow a garden each year. i would do it on a smaller scale with just enough to grow a garden. if things go bad we might not be able to get down to the feed and seed store to buy seed. it would also cost more by then.
simenfd Said,
Can you use large … Can you use large plastic containers, like the ones they sell at IKEA, for storage of the mylar bags? I don’t know if it is “food grade”, but I guess it is not poisonus
delta69alpha Said,
Some feel that it … Some feel that it keeps bugs out of your grains. It however does not.
