  1. fedtheend Said,

    @kmikesell Are you …
    @kmikesell Are you sure you know what your preparing for? Living on straight wheatgrass isn’t exactly good eatins, but , I guess you haven’t really been tested yet as it were. Believe me, when your out there, after being kicked out of your apartment or home, you know, in a panicked state,afraid to camp for fear of retribution by rightfully scared property owners, your likely not going to be too worried about the taste of your food.

  2. fedtheend Said,

    @fedtheend You …
    @fedtheend You would think that the state government would put some porta potties for all the homeless, but I guess their salaries are more important than public sanitation.

  3. fedtheend Said,

    @kmikesell totally …
    @kmikesell totally , totally agree with this. That was my main thing. Panic. The possibility of going insane with panic. something to read or radio. Although I would disagree that finding a place to go potty is a big concern. It’s a big concern on day one, maybe day two of homeless, but by day three on your going fifty feet outside the tent at 5am. amazing how nature always seems to call at the same time of morning when your outdoors.

  4. fedtheend Said,

    @kmikesell OH , I …
    @kmikesell OH , I think I know what you are talking about. metabolic typing, where 0 positive people have a hard time digesting wheat, lentils, red kidney beans? This is absolutely true but you got to remember, wheatgrass is the sprouts of wheat. not wheat itself.

  5. fedtheend Said,

    @kmikesell …
    @kmikesell wheatgrass helps the digestive system bigtime, that’s one of it’s big attractions, and it also absorbs right into the bloodstream because it’s moleculary similar to blood cells. so I don’t get your point. I actually HAVE lived on straight wheatgrass for 2 weeks when I was homeless 2 years ago for awhile.

  6. kmikesell Said,

    @fedtheend you’re …
    @fedtheend you’re kidding right? First off, some people can not handle straight wheat. Second, in a stressful environment, do you really want to tax your digestive system? Third, you are going to live on straight wheat grass?

  7. fedtheend Said,

    Why not just store …
    Why not just store about 50 or so pounds of red winter wheat berries? wheatgrass juice has 96 elements, most all nutrients you need to survive in organic form, really super easy and fast to grow as well. should save one except in a complete teowaki situation.

  8. kmikesell Said,

    @christo930 I think …
    @christo930 I think you misunderstand what the purpose of “food Storage” is. It is not planning for TEOWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It). VERY few could store supplies for such an “event”. These plans are for doing the best you can under the situation you find your self in. Unless you have a HUGE cistern, private lake or spring on your property you can’t possible store a years worth of water for a family. Having foods that require little or no water are ideal, most do!

  9. christo930 Said,

    @kmikesell That is …
    @kmikesell That is fine if you are preparing for a week long event, you are talking about a year long event and you just can’t waste water and energy cooking spaghetti, rice and other foods like that.

  10. kmikesell Said,

    @christo930 Well …
    @christo930 Well the last two times I’ve lived on my food storage I did! I know many (more than 5) who have too! Besides, water can be stored, and purified!

  11. christo930 Said,

    Yeah spaghetti is …
    Yeah spaghetti is great, because you just know in any scenario where you need your own food for a year, that there will be plenty of potable water and energy to prepare your spaghetti.

  12. moniequa Said,

    @simonfrouws, …
    @simonfrouws, whatever!

  13. simonfrouws Said,

    @moniequa hunger is …
    @moniequa hunger is a feeling 2 i guess lol

  14. simonfrouws Said,

    @kmikesell lol
    @kmikesell lol

  15. ehswan Said,

    Point taken. I …
    Point taken. I dated a woman who lived in “crazy county” Whey far back in the hinterlands. When she was old enough to walk she was with her sister gathering rocks off a hard scrabble farm field and loading them on a horse drawn wagon (circa 1949) . They had a jug of water that was too heavy for one of them to lift. One of them tilted the jug so that the other could drink. They lived close to the bone and any one who did not do their “fair share” was not excluded but chastised. Community.

  16. girard1973 Said,

    Your philosophy …
    Your philosophy only works if everyone does their fair share. Well I hate to break this to you, there are way too many lazy do nothing types that pull down the group. Those of us pulling the cart are growing tired of those just sitting, watching and using our sweat to survive. Believe me, the groups that form in times of perile won’t allow the lazy ones to be included!

  17. ehswan Said,

    Plan to take care …
    Plan to take care of everyone around you. That is how tribes work and why they work. Capisch?

  18. girard1973 Said,

    @ehswan
    Ok you be …

    @ehswan
    Ok you be one of those that doesn’t plan. Typical take care of me attitude. Must be a liberal!

  19. kmikesell Said,

    Good point! cant …
    Good point! cant throw the bullet at them!

  20. yec1JF Said,

    and those evil guns …
    and those evil guns that fire the bullets! :)

    guns + food = freedom

  21. kmikesell Said,

    That’s why most …
    That’s why most people who store food also store bullets!

  22. ehswan Said,

    I can’ t see how …
    I can’ t see how storing food will work if those around you are starving? As an example, I read of a village where there was famine for all but one family, who had prepared. The starving villagers noticed and killed them.

  23. kmikesell Said,

    some would say that …
    some would say that having tuna in it IS the surprise!

  24. jimbob26 Said,

    whats the “surprize …
    whats the “surprize” in tuna surprize? is it that there is infact no tuna in it?

  25. bobviously Said,
