Thank you, rick, for this wise tip! I’ve been printing almost everything I can get my hands on, even if there’s very little likelihood I’ll ever need the info, I’d rather have it on paper. I guess I’m just one of those old fashioned gals, LOL! Thanks for posting!

Hi John, afraid I have to disagree with you on this particular one
I’d be EXTREMELY nervous about locking such valuable information away on any kind of electronic device for several reasons, not least of which is that laptops are delecate and may easily get broken in a crisis scenario.
Also an EMP, or a powerful enough solar flare (which NASA have predicted for 2012) could mean this life-saving data is lost forever.
There’s a lot to be said for good ole fashioned printed paper
)
Instead of making …
Instead of making so many hardcopies of valuable information, I suggest that you save the information to a 16 gig flash drive. You can even copy the infromation on one flash drive to several so that you have backups. You can have eternal power for your laptop using solar energy. There are portable solar energy devices that you can store in your backpack along with your laptop or palmtop. Also, stash food in places away from your home. Bury cache’s of food in untraveled areas.
