@civicturbolive …
@civicturbolive It’s just a hobby – so for me it’s fun.
…wow i just came …
…wow i just came back from the normal world and it’s crazy to see you be prepared like this but i think if something happen you will be the better prepare… if nothing happen… yea i know it’s a long debate.
Another great video …
Another great video, Rick! Thanks for posting this important information!
Too bad you brits …
Too bad you brits can’t have guns.
LoL, Indeed!
LoL, Indeed!
suicide in the …
suicide in the furture will be to go on a public transport, and LICK everything! lol.. suicide by YUK.. lol.
LoL, me too, but I …
LoL, me too, but I use a lot of public transport and not everyone is as good at washing their hands as we are, I really don’t wanna think about how many people have hung onto the handrails on some of the buses and trains I’ve used in the past few years… or what they may or may not have been touching before they did.
man, i dont do any …
man, i dont do any of that, and i still dont get the flue.. and havent for years. i just know how to wash my hands, and not pick my nose!
thats why it’s a …
thats why it’s a good idea to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer just inside your front door, I keep mine on a shelf just inside my apartment and the first thing I do when I get home is use it, I also make a habit of washing all my door knobs and bannisters once a week, this may seem a little exccesive but I haven’t had flu or a cold in five years which is about the same time I started doing this, it also dosen’t hurt to slip out and spray communal door handles with anti bactirial once in a while
remember, Flue …
remember, Flue virus can only live outside of the human body for a short distance, 5 – 10 feet. it can live on the surface at normal room temprature with a little sweat for days. but it dies on contact with soap and clean water.
actually, the best …
actually, the best compromise is a Wet bandanna that is re-wetted and washed with soap each time regularly. Water is a natural insulator to biologicals. not so much for chemicals. even still does little to no protection.. best is just to avoid the area of contamination.
All true, still …
All true, still some mask is better than no mask, maybe the best compromise would be those masks with the filters like paint sprayers use.
toutching your face …
toutching your face is a concern, but it doesn’t matter when the virus can flow right through it as if it wasn’t there.
think about it.. you re-adjust the mask, pench the nose bar.. then take it off later, then use it again.. oops.. you contaminated your self. being medically trained, i know better.. just trying to give you a heads up.
A face mask is as …
A face mask is as much about stopping you from touching your own mouth as it is about stopping other nasties from getting in, we all touch our eyes and mouths all the time with out even thinking about it and most of the time it’s ok but when there are viruses and germs about you don’t want to do this, the only thing that will stop all things is a gas mask but you don’t want to have to walk about in one of those thing unless you “have” to, a particle mask is the best compromise in the meantime.
If you intend to ” …
If you intend to “Bug in” rather than “Bug out” I would advise you to get a trangia type stove that burns alcohol/meths as this can be used indoors, also you should invest in a USB memory stick then you can scan all your docs and have a copy with you at all times, but don’t forget to encrypt the files just in case you lose the memory stick
We’re planning on …
We’re planning on staying home if at all possible. In that scenario, we will obviously have to defend ourselves and our family. Acquiring guns and ammo in the USA is also a very important part of emergency preparation. Again, thanks for posting. You always have ideas I hadn’t thought about!
Hi Glen, Like you …
Hi Glen, Like you my motorhome is my BOV, but in the UK, it would be virtually impossible to bug out unless you were only faced with a highly localised event. Preparedness in the Uk generally means “bugging in”.
I have both my home …
I have both my home and motorhome kitted out with all the equipment. My motorhome is my Bug Out Vehicle.
The one question another preparedness youtuber said regarding leaving your home. He said… when you decide to leave your home, where are you going to go. Have you a plan where to go or a rondayvoo point?
dont forget your …
dont forget your Puerto rican credit card aka a gun
LOL – i don’t think …
LOL – i don’t think anybody “wants” to do that – but if it means the difference between staying healthy or contracting a disease like dysentery…..
i do not want to sh …
i do not want to sh!t in a bag!
A regular stove is …
A regular stove is about £10 – £15 so you pays yer money and takes yer choice!
I was going to do a video about a get home bag – seems more feesable than a BOB – where a bug-out situation is highly unlikely in the UK (nowhere to run to without meeting crowds or other people!)
Although a get home bag could still double up as a BOB in a worst case scenario.
RVOPs are selling …
RVOPs are selling them for £51.75,
I’ve also been looking at a ‘Get Home Bag’ Which seem like a good idea if you get stranded somewhere or just as a general survival pack.
Search for (GHB – Phase 1.)
Just checked it out …
Just checked it out.
From what I can see it just looks like a small camp stove that has its own pot with a windshield.
Not a bad design, but pretty expensive for what it is.
I would only invest in something like this if money was no object.
I’ve been looking …
I’ve been looking at a product, The ‘Jetboil’, do you know anything about it and would you recommend it, there are quite a few video reviews about them as well.
